Hot chocolate is the perfect holiday treat and it’s even better because there are so many ways to make it unique and fun. In my last blog post I talked about how to put together a fun DIY Hot Chocolate Bar, so this week I’m going to share the fun combinations that I made using the hot chocolate bar and I would 10/10 recommend all of them! Oh and of course I would even more highly recommend using Courtney's Cocoa to do it!
S’mores - Use a spatula to spread a thin layer of marshmallow fluff around the edge of your mug. When I say thin, I mean it, because it will start to drip down the sides. Press crushed up bites of graham cracker into the marshmallow. Fill the mug with your hot chocolate and top with a copious amount of mini marshmallows.
Peppermint - The trick here is to add bits of crushed up peppermint to the bottom of your mug before adding the hot chocolate so that it melts them to add flavor. And then of course top with whipped cream, more crushed peppermint and a candy cane never hurt anyone.
Marshmallow Toffee - I’m pulling tips from the first two for this one; add marshmallow fluff to the rim of your mug, but this time use crushed up bits of toffee and also throw some of those into your mug (trust me, it elevates the flavor so much). Add your hot chocolate, whipped cream, more toffee bits and enjoy!
Classic - I’m finishing off with the classic because it is just that, classic. Hot chocolate, tons of marshmallows, tons of whipped cream and tons of sprinkles. The perfect combination.
